Less is more, it's also known as the minimalism concept and It's seen in virtually every area of our lives.
From fashion
To Interior design
And even product design
And the beautiful thing is, it has the same meaning. It's simply saying by using less elements, less colors, less components you're able to bring out more beauty in the overall look of the project.
And just recently, I learnt from a conversation with my friend, Emmanuel that it applies to life too and I'll explain it the exact way he said it.
He said see it as you have only 100% no matter what you do, you can't make it 101% and you have to share this 100% among whatever you are giving your time and energy to.
So if you're doing 10 things, you'll share it as 10% each. That's quite low and poor isn't it? That means you won't be giving out excellent work.
But imagine if you're doing just 2 things, then you'll be able to give it up to 50% each. You can even decide to balance things out with 80/20 or 70/30. How beautiful is that?
The point is the less you have on your plate, the more you'll be able to give out excellence.
This conversation opened my eyes and I really needed it because I'm one of those people that just likes doing a lot of things and I'll keep punishing myself with guilt when I realize I can't give them my best.
Anyways this minimalism concept is something I feel you can amplify and practice in this new month.
From the things you're involved in, down to the tasks you plan to do , remember that there's ONLY 100% to go round so focus on less so you can give more.
April didn't go as I wanted to, I was met with a lot of unexpected happenings and dashed expectations, I will like to look at them as redirections from God, just God redirecting me to what he wants me to focus on and where he wants me to be.
It also came with CLARITY, I was confused at the beginning of April but I'm grateful to God I'm not anymore. I'll gist you about how it came about in the next mail.
How was Apirl for you? Bad or good. I just want you to know that it doesn't matters. May is already here and it's about to get so much better.
Don't forget to like and drop your thoughts in the comments section, I'll always read and reply them. Till I talk to you next week.
Stay Intentional,
Abigail.
